The second bit was a bit better, but it's still pretty bad, lol. The lighting is terrible ( the shadows - omg!)...and they aren't quite long enough. Also, the curly haired chick is annoying... |

Music Consultant John McCracken, that's very brave of you to have your name listed on the credits for this. The really soft music with lyrics serving as a score was a fucking disaster. I really don't fathom how you can feature about as many songs as you do minutes of show. That woman totally making out with Michael Park at the start of some daytime charity event was so ridiculous. Did anyone even have booze? That closeup of Martha Byrne as Michael Park walked in freaked me out. Is Martha Byrne's character supposed to be a lesbian with Chesty La Rue or Busty St. Clair or whatever the other one's name is? I was totally expecting them to announce the event was an engagement party for those two and not a charity event. I will keep watching this (since it's free) but only for the trainwreck factor. |

I think Margaret Reed (ex-Shannon O'Hara, ATWT; aka that chick making wout with Michael Park) looks FANTASTIC! Haven't seen her or heard anything of her in years! Also, Anne Sayre (ex-Mitzi, ATWT; aka Busty St. Clair) looks great. So nice to see her again (although I 1/2 expected Mitzi's voice to come out when she opened her mouth). |

For some strange reason, I'm actually feeling the heat between Michael Park and Martha Byrne, LoL. These episodes are still too short though. I hate how they end just as I'm getting into them. |

Totally agree Kenny - one thing I will say, though, is this show is miles better than Venice. I actually like this Martha Byrne - didn't know who she was before, but she's really engaging. I see chemistry with the two actors, as well.. I think Gotham has potential. |

Kenny, I agree. There was never anything romantic between Jack and Lily on ATWT so I was curious about the chemistry between Michael and Martha and it's there! Hopefully some sponsors will come on board and we can get the show more often and for longer. |

How will they squeeze so many new characters into 2 minutes? The biggest problem is that this is way too short, but I appreciate that they've started focusing one two or three characters only, instead of trying to cram a full half hour/hour show worth of plot into an episode. I think this could be a great series with money behind it. A real hour long series on SOAPnet, but for me it's too short now. It feels like a pilot presentation. |

I want more!! I have a hard time with 2 minutes of action and 2 minutes of everything else. Martha and Michael have some made chemistry and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of that. They have a top rate cast and it's going to be nice to see more. I guess that is good-- they really do make you want more. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing the next episode. BTW, Buppies-- one word-- WOW!! Action from start to finish. Really good!! |

Just catching up on these... Episode 3 thoughts: -Did they change the title logo and stuff? The opening seems different (and worse). I can't believe we're three episodes in and it STILL feels like NOTHING happened. -Also, that Martha and Michael Park were in high school 20 years ago took me aback a little bit. They both look solidly 40s to me and not late 30s if they were high school exes. -It's so weird watching something so obviously shot in the fall when it's actually winter. I know it can't be helped but I still thought about it. -Finally, ugh at the camera jumbling as their walk was being shot. Is that what it was like to watch GL in the final years. I felt like I was getting motion sickness. Would it be that hard/that much money to put a tripod on wheels or something to make that steadier? Episode 4 -What was up with us seeing Chesty LaRue and goatee valet drive off in episode 3 yet they're back and she's inside again when the MB and MP were were only on their walk a few minutes? WTF? -These episodes are just too short to make me care about these characters. |

Martha Byrne and other web series creators have said the budget determines episode length. Buppies proves that web soaps with a short running time can succeed if the quality is there. It's amazing how much storytelling they pack into each episode. That said, I'd be the last to complain about longer Buppies episodes. |
